Our Story
We started out as a one woman operation. Founder, Beverley Fryer, started doing massage therapy 5 years ago with the dream of starting her own business. After building her clientele and working at a chiropractic office specializing in accident, injury, and sports medicine, she knew that there was a need for a massage therapists who could work with a wide variety of conditions. Fast forward to today, she now has her fast growing Massage Therapy business with 4 additional massage therapists, self-care products, and a budding mentorship program. She plans to put Elemental Compass on the map for the best massage services in Traverse City.

About the Founder: I founded Elemental Compass with the vision to network massage and natural health practitioners together to create a wellness source for the community and for each other. It was founded with my personal mission to change lives of both clients and practitioners, as massage changed mine. I grew in so many ways when I began my career as a massage therapist. I grew personally, professionally, physically, and emotionally. It was immensely rewarding being able to help others and to ease their pain and to know that I was really making a difference for that person that day. To actually be able to do something about the pain that another person was in was so fulfilling. It felt like no matter how small, I was making a difference in the world, one life at a time. Massage therapy has not only helped me heal others but it has also helped me heal myself physically and emotionally. I transformed my ability to care for myself and my loved ones with the time and the resources I gained with my education. This experience became the inspiration to create a place that could do the same for other aspiring practitioners and help them network and use each other as support as well as provide connections to the community so that high quality care is always available whenever it is needed or wanted. It is my hope to have a bigger impact on my community, my world, and my planet by growing and spreading health and happiness through natural health, massage therapy, and sustainable practices.
Rebecca Dujanowicz
Rebecca grew up in Northport and received her training at Utah College of Massage Therapy in 1999 and Healing Mountain Massage School in 2015. Throughout the years she’s focused on improving an individual’s functionality through bodywork and providing different healing methods to assist individuals with their healing journey. In addition to over 20 years of therapeutic massage experience she is also a Reiki Master, Sound Bath practitioner, and Kripalu trained yoga instructor.

Tanya McClendon
I’m Tanya, a proud graduate of Irene’s Myomassology Institute. Traverse City, Michigan is where I call home, and I couldn’t be happier surrounded by its natural beauty.
With a burning passion for making a positive impact, I’ve dedicated my professional career to the art of massage therapy. Helping people through the power of touch brings me immeasurable joy. I specialize in various massage techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial, hot rocks, and more. Whether it’s easing tense muscles or soothing troubled minds, seeing my clients leave feeling rejuvenated is the ultimate reward.
But that’s not all! I’m also incredibly enthusiastic about sharing my knowledge and skills with others who aspire to be massage therapists. There’s nothing quite like empowering individuals to embark on their own journey of healing and touch therapy.
When I am not working, you can find me actively involved in various volunteer organizations. Giving back to the community is a huge part of my life, and it fills my heart with gratitude knowing that I can make a difference, no matter how small.

Candis Jade
Candis Jade’s unique skill set includes Thai massage, craniosacral, and kinesiology taping. She also enjoys utilizing deep tissue, cupping and various stretching techniques. She believes quality massage is an intuitive process that depends on effective communication.
She graduated with a 4.0+ at Barbara Ingram School for the Arts and 4.0 from Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy. Candis spends her free time practicing financial education, exercise and nutrition. Her interest in human health provides context and allows for customization of each massage.
Her next adventures are taking MMA classes, singing and dance lessons. Candis passionately lives by continuously improving within all elements of life.
